S.T.I. Trans, Inc. was founded in 1999 by Robert Alexander, a former traffic manager with extensive experience in the steel and building materials industry. With this deep industry knowledge, we’ve built a reputation for delivering reliable, timely service that our customers can consistently depend on. Our mission is simple: to give every client peace of mind by consistently prioritizing safety and delivering service that exceeds expectations.

In December of 1999, Robert Alexander launched S.T.I. Trans, Inc. in the basement of his home with one employee and a mission. And that mission is one that carries our company to this day: to provide excellent and committed service to our customers.
Strategic Logistics was launched in 2000 to meet the needs of clients who sought nationwide trucking with the dependable, safe, and efficient service they had come to expect with S.T.I. Trans, Inc.
S.T.I. Trans, Inc. makes its first facility purchase in Crystal Lake, IL. While establishing long-term relationships with our customers, we continued to grow with a fleet of five trucks for local and over-the-road hauling.
S.T.I. Trans, Inc. purchased the property of Willard Avenue in Elgin, IL with over 196,000 square feet to accommodate a more extensive fleet and team of employees. The added space of this location allowed us to better serve our customers and community by providing job opportunities.
To better care for our trucks and equipment, S.T.I. Trans, Inc. opened a maintenance shop at our facility in Elgin, IL. We hired a crew of mechanics and a shop manager to work on-site and complete tasks quickly and efficiently. This decision allowed us to stop outsourcing 95% of all truck and trailer repairs. As a result, we are able to get our trucks fixed faster with greater on-the-go customer service.
S.T.I. Trans, Inc. continues to grow without forgetting where it all started. Our operations include a family dynamic value that has been instilled since day one. We take that same value and share it with our customers in all the work that we do. We now have a fleet of over 25 trucks and 20 dedicated employees. As we've grown throughout the years, the motto stays the same, and that is making excellent customer service our top priority.
